As you are probably aware, the Machinists Union is currently involved in an active organizing drive at your facility.
During this process, the management team will do everything in their power to discourage and prevent you from joining the union. They will distribute anti-union propaganda, hold captive audience meetings, and tell you that you don’t need a third party to represent you. The last thing that they want is for you to have your wages, benefits, and work rules protected in a legally binding contract. Don’t be fooled by their tactics because according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, union members in the private sector earned an average of 39% more in wages and benefits combined last year than non-union members with equivalent jobs.
Remember one important factor; if the company says that you will not gain anything from belonging to the union, then why do they do everything in their power to prevent you from joining?
Why is the Machinist Union right for you?
